Warrant Officer Class 1 Hayazi bin Abdul Aziz was born on 19 September 1974 in Alor Setar, Kedah and joined the Army on 10 April 1993 at the Army Basic Training Center (PUSASDA) for six months in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. He subsequently was posted to the 9th Battalion Royal Malay Regiment, Terendak Camp on 3 October 1993. Throughout his services, he has shown high dedication and perseverance in his military career and recognition of his distinguished 22 years service to the nation; he was promoted to the 7th Malaysian Army Regimental Sergeant Major.
Warrant Officer Class 1 Hayazi bin Abdul Aziz has also held several other posts throughout his service and they are Rifleman, Assistant Head of Section, Section Head, Platoon Sergeant, Company Sergeant Major and Warrant Officer Parachute Instructor at 9 RMR (Para). In addition, he was entrusted with the position of Regimental Sergeant Major at the 1st Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment on 17 August 2006 to 19 August 2009, the National Defense University of Malaysia (UPNM) on 20 August 2009 to 30 June 2013, the Army Field Command Headquarters on 1 July 2013 to 29 April 2014 and for the RMR on 30 April 2014 to 6 May 2015. On 7 May 2015, he was entrusted with the mandate by the Army’s top leadership to take up the 7th Malaysian Army Regimental Sergeant Major.
The courses that he has attended during his service were Basic Para Course, Abseiling Repelling Instructor Course, Air Rescue Course, Para Instructor Course, Para Instructor Course at PULPAK, Basic Clerical Course at 17 RMR (Para), Kadar Pasukan, Basic Signal Course, Basic Tempur Tanpa Senjata (TTS), and KPSP at 9 RMR (Para), Combat Detector Course, Section Head Course and Platoon Sergeant Course at PULADA, KPSMK and KPPTTK at IPDA. He has excel and received excellent results in all the courses he attended.
He is married to Mrs Yusandayu binti Yahaya and blessed with two sons who gave him the strength to succeed in life. During his free time, he will be involved with his spiritual activities as well as spending time with his family. He is friendly and well respected among his friends.
In this position, he serves as an advisor to the Chief of Army on all instructions and policies that involves the Other Ranks. He also serves as an advisor to the arrangement of the Army’s official parade ceremonies such as the conferment, commissioning and national parade as well as trooping the colour ceremony. As the Malaysian Army Regimental Sergeant Major, he is also responsible as an advisor and coordinator in all ceremonial parades at the formation and training centres.
