ORDER OF BRAVERY

Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa (SP)

Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa is the highest and most senior Federal award. It was established on 29 July 1960. This award is conferred on any person who demonstrated extraordinary bravery or executed a task with extreme courage and ultimate sacrifice. This award can be conferred posthumously. The award comprises a crest in the shape of a crescent and a 14 pointed star.


Panglima Gagah Berani (PGB)

Panglima Gagah Berani was established on 29 July 1960. This award is conferred to members of the security forces who demonstrated great bravery and strength when facing the enemy. This award can be conferred posthumously. The award is in the shape of a five-pointed star.


Jasa Perkasa Persekutuan (JPP)

Jasa Perkasa Persekutuan is conferred on any person who demonstrated exceptional bravery and members of the security forces who shown utmost bravery in the battlefield. This award was established on 29 July 1960 and can be awarded posthumously. The award is in the shape of a five-pointed star


Pingat Tentera Udara (PTU)

Pingat Tentera Udara was established on 17 July 1968. Conferred on any person demonstrating extraordinary bravery, courage or loyalty in fulfilling his obligations or duties in the Armed Forces during operational or non-operational flying. The Minister of Defence determines the person eligible to receive this award, and it can be awarded posthumously. This award comprises a medal in the shape of an egg.


Kepujian Perutusan Keberanian (KPK)

Given to members of the Armed Forces and Royal Malaysian Police who carried out a task bravely and courageously but not good enough to qualify them for any of the bravery medals. This award was established on 20 July 1969, and the award is in the form of a bronze-shaped leaf.

Pingat Perkhidmatan Am (PPA)

This award is conferred on recipients as an appreciation of their excellent service in the security forces or uniformed units. This award is in the form of a round shaped silver medal.


Pingat Perkhidmatan Setia (PPS)

This award is given to recipients as an appreciation of their long service be it in the security forces or other uniformed units. The award is in the form of a round shaped bronze medal.
