Banner LatesPAMS is an annual multinational military seminar providing a forum for senior-level (lieutenant colonel to major general, or national equivalent) officers from regional ground forces and security forces to exchange views. It is not only a forum to further understanding of subjects studied, but also an opportunity to establish and enhance a set of strong interpersonal relationships among the future leaders of regional armies and security forces. The Parties, The Field Commander West, Malaysian Army and Commanding General, United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), serve as the co-host for PAMS XL.

“Unity of Effort: Building Civil-Military Partnerships to Counter Violent Extremism.”

Based on the theme suggested above, The PAMS XL will further emphasize on 3 suggested topics such as “Violent Extremism: Defining the Problem from the perspective of Regional Armies”,  “Countering Violent Extremism and the Infomation Domain: Challenges and Opportunities” and “Creating Enduring Civil-Military Partnerships in Responding to Radicalization”. It is not only a forum to enhance a collective understanding of common challenges, but also an opportunity to build strong interpersonal relationships between leaders of regional land forces. Team building events and networking activities for delegates as well as special program and cultural activities for spouse have been prepared to encourage interaction and establish friendship that would be benefical in  the long term.
